It's probably the best 3D Fallout game in terms of the RPG aspects and the world building. The story is decent, nothing special, but it does allow for a respectable degree of choices and consequences. Disco Elysium is a much better game, in my opinion, but only play it if you are ok with playing an isometric RPG type game with no combat.

For weapon mods I would use classic fallout weapons remastered and maybe weapons of the new millennia. For quest mods check out the someguy2000 series. They are some of the best quest mods ever made. Having never played New Vegas much (way too buggy at lunch on my 360), I bought the Ultimate Edition on Steam. Right now, I'm in Primm looking for some new leadership for the town and just wondering if there are any points in the game where playing the DLC content makes sense or if they can really be played at any point.
First of all JSawyer Ultimate Edition is a modders recreation of the original Jsawyer mod that features a number of tweaks (not present in the original mod) and bugfixes (in the original mod, not the game itself). So it's not entirely accurate to say it was made by the designer of the game I just wanted to mention that.
obax17 9 years ago #1. I just got this game for the ps3 and am having a problem where the screen goes completely black when I"m indoors. The HUD and dialogue all shows up fine, and all the audio is fine, it's just the rest of the screen is completely black, other than an occasional flicker of the scene. Everything seems fine when I'm outdoors.
